Description
A Pair Of Chinese Export Porcelain Famille Rose Hexagonal Vases
Late 18th Century
decorated with figured garden scenes, gilt highlights.
Height 11 1/2 inches.
Condition
Slight differences to the decoration; probably decorated by two hands from the same inspiration source. Each with some slight rubbing to the enamels and gilding, notably to the mouth and footrim. One example with a chip to the rim, glazed over. The same example also with a firing crack to the interior of the neck approx. 3/4 in. long. That example also with a hairline (only visible under UV light) running vertically almost the full length of one panel (please see images). A lovely pair, presents well overall.
Provenance
Provenance:Property of a Mid-Atlantic Institution.
